Everett Cox

Everett joined Emergence in 2009 and brings to the firm over twenty years of experience in the venture capital industry. Everett was a general partner at St. Paul Venture Capital for ten years, where he led investments in healthcare informatics, consumer and business services, and information technologies.
Previously, he was the senior VP in charge of investment analysis at Security Pacific Capital, a venture capital and private equity firm managing over $1 billion in assets. He is also an angel investor and has co-invested with Emergence in Saleforce.com and MedeAnalytics. Everett has backed leading companies in several other sectors including Fargo Electronics (FRGO acquired by HID), Sentillion (acquired by Microsoft), Medicode (acquired by United HealthCare), Xilinx (XLNX), Staples (SPLS), and Pacific Sunwear (PSUN).
Everett has an MS and BS in mechanical engineering and thermodynamics from Stanford and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Los Altos Hills where he enjoys running and cycling.
